Little Angels Dayhome

 

Little Angels will provide a home away from home for children who require care while parents are at work.  I will provide a morning and afternoon snack with a healthy lunch following Canada's food guide.  My hours of operation are 7 am until 5.30 pm Monday through Friday.  My home is smoke and pet free with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors on all levels.  Weather permitted we will visit the neighbourhood parks and go on nature walks where we can learn whilst out in our surroundings.

 

We will explore and discover together through science experiments, baking, art, and crafts.  Some but not all the topics we shall cover are the weather, seasons, special holidays (Valentines, Easter) phonics, numbers, shapes, and much more.  I have lots of exciting plans, but I will always listen to the children and I will follow their interests as they learn best when it is something they are interested in.  I am a proud Mum of four lovely children a twenty-one-year-old, a sixteen-year-old, a seven-year-old, and a five-year-old.

 

We have daily circles and sharing days where they will be asked to bring in something to share with their friends that will be linked to what we are learning about.  For example when we are learning about phonics and the letter sounds is "b" your child will be asked to share something that begins with that sound bat, ball, bear.  Every day the children will have quiet time, where the younger children will take their afternoon nap and the older children will do quiet activities like reading and puzzles.
